Maurice's physical therapy diagnostic, plan of care, and follow up skills are top notch! It has really been tough coming back from injury but the work we’ve put in together with Doc Mo has meant everything to my speedy recovery. The specific exercises for my athletic performance to get back into competing shape as well as the therapy for my back have really helped me make a leap in confidence during training and given me the tools to keep my body feeling great.

Max Taylor Ultra Runner and Rock Climber
I started working with Maurice in 2021 initially for chronic shoulder pain that was really negatively impacting my rock climbing. Maurice diagnosed it as a rotator cuff issue, he gave me some exercises and told me to keep climbing. Within weeks I was able to climb pain free for the first time in over a year.
Since then I have seen Maurice as I made the transition from climbing to ultra running. At every single point Maurice met me where I was, took my goals seriously and helped create a plan that would help me achieve those goals.
When I developed severe knee pain 8 weeks before The Mt Toby 50k, my first 50k, I was ready to count myself out for the race. Maurice worked with me over the next two months and encouraged me to keep going. I succeeded in my goal and finished that race and signed up for more. I worked with Maurice for the remainder of the running season, I ran the 7 sisters, finished another 50k and guided a visually impaired runner for 20 miles as part of their 100 mile race.
Maurice helped me keep the inevitable small issues small and really helped me gain a much better understanding of what my body is capable of. I can not recommend Maurice enough and literally have told just about everyone I know to try and work with him.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mo at Elevation Physical Therapy. After a severe accident and having multiple doctors and physical therapists work with me, I finally found Dr. Mo. He took the time to get to know my situation and who I was as an individual. His hands on approach of working with patients and making individual plans for patients needs are unmatched. He has not only helped me achieve my goals but has allowed me to continue to grow through strength and conditioning. I am now stronger and in better shape than before my accident and am excited to continue my progress! Thank you Elevation Physical Therapy!

Matt Pacheco Ultramarathon Runner
Description goesAfter running a 100+miles at a backyard style race I was having some pretty prominent foot/shin pain that stopped me from running and wasn't improving much after a couple weeks. I was recommended Maurice by fellow ultrarunners he had worked with. That was about 3 months ago now and we've had a handful of physical therapy sessions together. Thanks to his guidance and exercises I've gradually worked my way back up to my regular mileage pain-free. I've been hesitant to adapt physical therapy/stretching/etc in the past but visiting with him and being sent home with specific workouts has helped me get into a routine and I've seen nothing but positive results. I feel like the workouts have helped me recover quicker as well after some harder/longer runs than I might have in the past. Maurice is great to talk to in general, I like how these exercises cater particularly to ultrarunners and I will definitely be routinely utilizing what he's taught me moving forward. Highly recommended! here

I have been working with Elevation Physical Therapy & Performance for a couple of months now, and every single time, my expectations are surpassed. I’m an MMA practitioner who loves long-distance running, but due to these interests, I developed shoulder and hip pain. Through working with Elevation Physical Therapy & Performance, I have completely gotten rid of my shoulder pain, and my hip pain has gone from significantly noticeable pain every day to slight discomfort once a week—and it is continuously improving. This has allowed me to be more comfortable shooting takedowns, getting sprawled on, and kicking the heavy bag full force repeatedly.
I met Dr. Mo while participating in a jiu-jitsu class, and I’m super happy to have made the connection. He is 100% professional, nonjudgmental, and super motivating.

I was struggling with shin splints and a lot of pain after running. After reaching out, he heard all of my concerns and gave me a new routine that completely changed the game. I found my endurance was improving, I no longer had pain in my shins, and my ankles were a lot more stable. I also found other parts of my body were getting stronger that I didn’t even know were an issue! Before I knew it, I was able to run regularly with NO PAIN! I highly recommend Elevation PTP to everyone I know. Thank you so much!

I began working with Maurice due to shoulder pain after a sports injury which resolved completely with his guidance. I also signed my 12 and 13 year old up to work with him since he is a wonderful influence, encouraging positive life habits while providing a fun, thorough, and innovative program they both benefitted from immensely. They were so surprised to notice their increased strength and abilities while rock climbing and playing soccer after two short months. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Mo for the whole family.

I only have great things to say about Maurice and Elevation Physical Therapy. I reached out due to nagging lower back pain that first cropped up from doing barbell squats after a long break. Before seeing Maurice, all sorts of movements would cause my back to flare up.
After just a few months of work with Maurice, I am have no concerns about my back day to day. I am confidently back to squatting, deadlifting, and all other activities that I previously felt I needed to limit. My mobility, balance, and performance in the activities I care about (weightlifting, surfing, snowboarding, hiking) have all improved. -
Nicolas Boillot Ski Patroller and Outdoor Adventurer
After ACL reconstruction surgery, I thought my PT went way too slowly. I had hit a plateau that I couldn't break through.
When I told close friends on ski patrol about my frustration, they referred me to Maurice and Elevation PT&P. A few months later, I've made ENORMOUS progress. Maurice took the time to understand me, my lifestyle, and how my body was responding to PT (too slowly!), and tailored our sessions together and my workouts at home to get the best results possible. He was mindful of how much time I had to invest each day, and varied the routine so it would stay fresh.
I could never be where I am without his help. So where am I? Incredibly excited to get back on skis as soon as possible! (And happily cycling and hiking already).

I came to Elevation Physical Therapy & Performance after suffering a meniscus and LCL tear from jiu jitsu training. Before finding them, I was really discouraged and thought surgery might be my only option to get back to the mats, if ever again.
The main reason I chose Elevation PTP was their familiarity with jiu jitsu. This gave me confidence that they truly understood the nature of my injury and my strong desire to return to the mats as soon as possible.
My experience was fantastic. They were professional, friendly, and most importantly, effective in my recovery.
Since completing my physical therapy, the impact on my quality of life and activity level has been incredible. I am now back to training jiu jitsu full time and lifting weights. I genuinely thought I was headed for surgery, but thanks to their expertise, I was able to return to a fully active lifestyle quickly. -
Mary Cowhey Hiker, Active Adult
I planned a trip to walk a portion of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, which would involve carrying a pack and hiking 10-15 miles a day. I'm in my sixties and have osteoporosis. I started training on my own and developed serious foot pain. I tried different things to address the foot pain, with no improvement. My training stalled. I began to wonder if I could even do the Camino without injuring myself.
I met Maurice Disley from Elevation PT. He listened to my fitness goals and challenges. He designed a personalized program which I completed at home twice a week and gradually increased my walking mileage. We met every other week, so that Maurice could check my progress and increase my training. Working with an experienced physical therapist who is also a hiker and a good teacher taught me a lot and gave me the confidence that I could do this.
In mid-April, I succeeded in walking my Camino. I am motivated to maintain and increase my improved level of fitness. I had a great experience at Elevation Physical Therapy. -

The best in the valley, maybe all of Massachusetts. Dr. Disley is an incredibly skilled and compassionate physical therapist. I came in thinking I wasn't going to be able to run again, and his expertise and personalized treatment plan made a huge difference in my recovery. The progress I've made is remarkable; I am back running. I highly recommend Elevation Physical Therapy & Performance and Dr. Disley to anyone seeking top-notch physical therapy care! As an added bonus, they play good music!

Kelly Stanton Firefighter Paramedic and High Mountain Hiker
After years of mild to moderate pain while hiking, I can once again go down a mountain or canyon without needing to take anything for pain or inflammation. It's such a nice feeling.
I would recommend Elevation PTP to anyone looking to try and work through their joint and muscle pains. It is work, but it's worth it. -
Matthew Hyde Ultra Runner and Hiker
Going to Elevation helped me start running pain-free and moving towards my fitness goals. I had shin splints for a year or so. I tried physical therapy elsewhere but I wasn't able to get rid of the pain while running. I decided to try Elevation because it offered a more personalized experience than elsewhere in my area. I was immediately impressed by how responsive Maurice was. I got an appointment quickly, he took the time to really understand where my body was at and my goals for running. The personalized workouts were great and the follow-up emails with video tutorials were really helpful to keep me on track between appointments.
I had an unrelated calf injury while climbing while I was going to Elevation. My doctor thought it was a soleus strain, but Maurice was able to properly diagnose my issue and adjust my training plan so that I could work through that and it healed up in no time.
PT at Elevation definitely got me back on track to where I wanted to be with my running and fitness in general. Now I'm back to running 4 times a week and haven't had pain in months. -
Beth Moonstone State Record Holding Powelrifter
Maurice is a game-changer for strength athletes and powerlifters! As a powerlifter, strength athlete, and fat-tire cyclist, my body takes a beating, and when hip pain started to tank my ability to back squat heavy, I thought I was sidelined for good. Enter Maurice, after a few months of following his advice—which included custom modifications to my training and working on key muscular imbalances—my squat is not just back, it's heavier and more solid than ever before.
Maurice doesn't just treat the pain; he fixes the root cause. He has a strong, diverse toolset and creates a truly customized care plan that fits an athlete's life. He genuinely helped me move easier and more efficiently under load.
If you are a serious athlete who needs a PT who gets high-level strength training, Maurice is the resource you need in your corner. 10/10 highly recommend. -
Jessica Holley Marathon Runner
During a half marathon training block, I began struggling with left shin pain that persisted into the summer, threatening my ability to run the Chicago Marathon.
I had met Maurice at some local running events and knew his expertise in working with runners would be highly valuable. Too frequently, runners are told “just don’t run” or “just run less” while not working on addressing the root cause of the injury. In just our initial encounter, I could tell Maurice was different.
Maurice performed a thorough initial assessment and identified that a major contributor of my discomfort stemmed from ankle instability. He gave me a few targeted exercises and within just a few sessions, my months of worsening shin pain had disappeared. This fall, I was able to PR at both the Philly Half Marathon and the Chicago Marathon, pain free!
Maurice is highly personable, knowledgeable and passionate about helping runners achieve their goals. I highly recommend Maurice to anyone looking for next level care! -
Marc Edwards Active Adult and Sailor
I came to Maurice with a hip that felt ready to quit and a lower back and glute that had already given up on me. I’d been through all the “PT chop shops” in the area — places that spit out a computer-generated diagnosis and hand you a one-size-fits-all rehab plan. None of it worked.
It wasn’t that Maurice’s diagnosis was different — it was that his approach was. He built a program around my actual body, my injury history, and my lifestyle. Within three months of consistent work, I was out of chronic pain and finally moving with confidence again.
Maurice is kind, patient, deeply knowledgeable, and an incredible teacher. He’s also remarkably accessible and willing to extend his advice beyond rehab — combining palliative and preventative strategies so you can sustain the gains you’ve made and keep building on them. His guidance has helped me not only recover, but also rethink my overall fitness and movement habits.
I’m stronger, more confident, and healthier than I’ve been in years thanks to his expert care. Couldn’t recommend him more highly. -
Max Taylor Ultrarunner and Farmer
I’ve been seeing Maurice for years at this point both for work place/life issues and also for support in my ultra running. The experience of elevation PT is unlike any physical therapy I’ve ever experienced and I can’t recommend them enough
Working with Elevation PT has helped keep my body feeling strong and capable to handle the training I throw at it. I’ve been able work through issues that pop up and have successfully finished my first 100 mile race while working a very physically demanding job and balancing family life.
Maurice has always taken my goals seriously and seemed really invested in helping me get to where I wanted to be. I feel like it’s hard to find a PT who understands and appreciates ultra running and has good solutions and strategies to keep me running. -
Brian Haley Ultrarunner
I was gearing up for the summer season and tore my calf muscle. Trying to figure out what to do next, several friends had the same answer; go see Dr. Maurice. So I did and he was great. He was very thorough in his approach and coming up with a plan. At the time, I was less than two months away from a 100 mile race and in his plan the exercises and running were geared not only to get me back to 100% but to be able to run the 100 race. He didn’t automatically rule out the 100 but took a week by week approach and tweaked the plan as necessary. What I liked about his approach is that he kept me from getting ahead of myself. Once I was feeling better, I wanted to go full bore into my training again but he would pull back the reigns and advise me to trust the process. He designed a plan that would get me where I needed to be without further injuring myself, what a concept! The plan worked and I successfully completed my first 100 in July. And better yet, I’m feeling great, running good and am injury free. I’m still using his exercises regularly in my training. And along the way, I’ve learned to trust the process and follow the plan! I would highly recommend Dr. Maurice!
